Album Description:
When Lady GaGa was a little girl, she would sing along on her mini plastic tape recorder to Michael Jackson and Cyndi Lauper hits and get twirled in the air in daddy's arms to the sounds of the Rolling Stones and the Beatles. The precocious child would dance around the table at fancy Upper West Side restaurants using the breadsticks as a baton. And, she would innocently greet a new babysitter in nothing but her birthday suit.

It's no wonder that little girl from a good Italian New York family, turned into the exhibitionist, multi-talented singer-songwriter with a flair for theatrics that she is today: Lady GaGa.

"I was always an entertainer. I was a ham as a little girl and I'm a ham today," says Lady GaGa, 22, who made a name for herself on the Lower East Side club scene with the infectious dance-pop party song "Beautiful Dirty Rich," and wild, theatrical, and often tongue-in-cheek "shock art" performances where GaGa - who designs and makes many of her stage outfits -- would strip down to her hand-crafted hot pants and bikini top, light cans of hairspray on fire, and strike a pose as a disco ball lowered from the ceiling to the orchestral sounds of A Clockwork Orange.

"I always loved rock and pop and theater. When I discovered Queen and David Bowie is when it really came together for me and I realized I could do all three," says GaGa, who nicked her name from Queen's song "Radio Gaga" and who cites rock star girlfriends, Peggy Bundy, and Donatella Versace as her fashion icons. "I look at those artists as icons in art. It's not just about the music. It's about the performance, the attitude, the look; it's everything. And, that is where I live as an artist and that is what I want to accomplish."

That goal might seem lofty, but consider the artist: GaGa is the girl who at age 4 learned piano by ear. By age 13, she had written her first piano ballad. At 14, she played open mike nights at clubs such as New York's the Bitter End by night and was teased for her quirky, eccentric style by her Convent of the Sacred Heart School (the Manhattan private school Nicky and Paris Hilton attended) classmates by day. At age 17, she became was one of 20 kids in the world to get early admission to Tisch School of the Arts at NYU. Signed by her 20th birthday and writing songs for other artists (such as the Pussycat Dolls, and has been asked to write for a series of Interscope artists) before her debut album was even released, Lady GaGa has earned the right to reach for the sky.
Amazon.com:
Has an album title ever been so self-prophetic? In its first year, this electropop opus rocketed Lady Gaga from unknown New York lounge singer to the world’s biggest pop star this side of Britney Spears. The Fame’s brand of pop is shamelessly decadent: 11 of its 13 songs are about money, celebrity, sex, clubbing, or a sticky combination of all four. It’s insipid subject matter, unless you consider Gaga as less of a silly, manufactured blonde than an ingenious artist playing the part of a glitzy pop star. Witness The Fame’s impeccably sleek opening songs, from the carelessly rambling chorus of “Just Dance” to the snappy, futuristic beat of “LoveGame”: Gaga’s got the outrageous outfits and dance moves down to a science, but underneath it all, the music is aggressive and authoritarian in ways that most other Top 40 tunes are not. Often compared to Gwen Stefani’s, Gaga’s vocals are in fact richer and rounder, allowing her a certain stylistic versatility, and her personae alternate from wild party kid to vulnerable lover. Some of the risks don’t always pay off, but the Lady Gaga of the dark and ardent megahit “Poker Face” prevails. She is commandeering enough, bizarre and beguiling enough, to ensure that she’ll be basking in our attention for a very long time. --Erin Thompson

What a way to start a Music career!
"The Fame" is one Massive debut album! You do not wanna pass it up. It's fun, it's energetic and it's powerful heavy dance music. I love the incredibly catchy songs and the extremely clever and well written lyrics.

Lady Gaga is here to stay!
I can't wait for her new album next year in 2011!!
I'm dying with anticipation! This Lady can do no wrong.

I went to see her show last month and it was the most phenomenal thing i will probably ever attend.
If she's coming to your city make sure you stay on top of when tickets go on sale, She sold out a 20,000 crowd stadium in less than 10 minutes!

Go to the The Monster Ball, You don't want to miss it for anything!

Overall "The Fame" is an amazing album. It left me in quite a shock that it was a debut album.

Gimmicky
Her music is too theatrical. She has a very good singing voice, but too much flair to her songs. Speechless, from another album, is a great song and showcases her excellent singing voice. She kind of wastes it, but the in crowd seems to like it because it's mindless funk.

My First Experience Listening to It
Made my day better I waited and waited for it come out and I'm thinking that way about the next one.

Amazing Dance Revolution
Lady Gaga makes amazing music, but her first album is great for being a debut album. She sounds great and the music is great for dancing and working out.

Great Pop Music - a review from a Pop fan
She's gimmicky, a cock-tease, and probably not a very nice person to know in real life. But how many other famous pop singers could you also say that about? Michael Jackson wrote almost none of his own music and the songs he did write were trite and childish lyrically. Yet everyone still loves him for some reason.

My point is, the music here is well produced, and even after a few years of being on the market, I can pop in 'Just Dance' or 'Paparazzi' and still be entertained. There are elements familiar to other hits of the past 10 or 20 years, but that's the comfort food nature of pop music, dressing itself up to be modern while lifting more immediate chords and sounds than other genres. She's not trying to make something new, she just wants to entertain you. Eager to please, right?

So, from me to you, this album isn't so bad, no need to feel guilty about it, given how vocally and musically it's better than what was popular even a decade ago. (Britney Spears :/ )

"THE FAME MONSTER" TO BE RELEASED IN 3 VERSIONS

The Fame Monster, in three different versions - a standard version of the new 8-song album; a deluxe version which includes both The Fame Monster and her massively successful debut album The Fame; and this collector's edition super-deluxe art book version, which includes both albums, fanzines, 3-D glasses, paper dolls, a puzzle, pictorials, a lock of Lady Gaga's hair and other surprises.

Says Lady Gaga, "In the midst of my creative journey composing The Fame Monster, there came an exciting revelation that this was in fact my sophomore album. I would not add, nor take away any songs from this EP, it is a complete conceptual and musical body of work that can stand on its own two feet. It doesn't need The Fame." "We may have an economy, but MUSIC HAS NO ECONOMY. I will release four or more singles from The Fame Monster, tour the world with The Monster Ball Tour, and most importantly

I insist on honoring my fans with an affordable new album, an album that is as loyal to them, as they have been me." "For those who do not have my debut album, there are a series of collectible double-disc editions that include both albums and artwork conceived by the Haus of Gaga in collaboration with our mentor Hedi Slimane. Hear the music, see the show, live and love yourself...Lady Gaga."

Lady Gaga is the first artist since the inception of monitored airplay to chart four #1 hits at Top 40 Radio -"Just Dance," "Poker Face," "LoveGame," and "Paparazzi."

what is better than the fame monster?
the fame monster on picture disc vinyl. paws up little monsters. this record is fantastic. if you are vinyl junkie and a super gaga fan like me, then this is for you. don't have a turntable? buy it and put it in a record frame and hang it on your wall. art and collectors item all in one.

I'm 34 and I LOVED this album!
I am amazed at Lady Gaga. What makes her all the more impressive is that I'd originally written her off as someone that only kids would like.

With this two-disc album, she proves that she can pretty much do anything.

First of all, out of the 20 or so songs on the album, maybe 2 sound filler. The rest all sound single-worthy. All of these songs could have made smash singles: STARSTRUCK, BOYS BOYS BOYS, PAPER GANGSTA, MONSTER, DANCE IN THE DARK. Second, Lady Gaga offers amazing versatility. Yes, there are the inescapable smash hits POKER FACE and BAD ROMANCE. But you'll get a surprising mix of sounds, from cute catchy pop to darker/synth/goth pop, rock ballads and even some gospel! Her vocals are on point and for a pop singer, it's very surprising to say that I was able to truly hear HER.

5/5

Awful
I can't believe we went from the fabulous theme of retro-glamor and brilliance of The Fame and found ourselves with an album like this. Lady Gaga doesn't feel the same anymore. I'll always miss her during The Fame era. This album was a disappointment. Sure Monster and Teeth are witty, but it isn't enough to sustain 8 tracks of nightmare. Her image is a complete ripoff of Madonna lately. Been there, seen that.

I've Never Loved A Musician This Much Before
Lady Gaga is pure genius. She knows what real dance music is and she brings it with this album. The songs are very catchy. There has never been an artist where I loved every single one of their songs. She doesn't make her voice sound fake with autotune like Ke$ha, which is great because she can show off her real talent. I love every song so much.

New Madonna is born!!
Gaga is the future mighty pop queen you'll see,she is so great!!New icon is here and I'm looking forward to hear her next "chef d'oeuvre"!!

Nice to have different versions of this song specifically
I love Lady Gaga... think she is brilliant. BUT, there are some songs I dislike completely (like Teeth) and then others where I don't care too much for the album version. This is one of those... on the album... it is ho hum. Yet, if you have seen her do this song on several occasions (live, award shows, etc) in the past you probably found that live this song is almost always fantastic. This CD gives you a bunch of options that are more interesting and enjoyable than the standard album version of the track. I still wish she would release a version of it more in the style she did at the MTV movie awards... a rare case where slower actually makes the song better. Anyway, I definitely recommend this one.

gaga is the best
yes i am the number 1 gaga fan and i love her and her music and i am her monster and always will be. lady gaga is the best in the west east south and the croked north so world beware and be prepared because gaga is here to stay now and for always fans of gaga don't forget to purchase all of her cd singles they are so worth the little money amazon is asking for so please give the lady her claim and respect her music game we love you gaga

And I won't stop until that boy is mine.
Another fabulous song from Lady Gaga. Paparazzi is one of her biggest hits and is amazing. The remixes on this CD are incredible and I highly recommend it to anyone who is Gaga for the Lady like me.

oaoarazzui
great remixes. you can see why she is becoming popular. even the remixes sound different than the orginal song.

The real tracklisting
Paparazzi, in its original form, is actually one of my least favorite tracks on Lady Gaga's "The Fame" album. But the song is given the remix treatment five times over for the US maxi-single which makes it much more appealing. Most are club/dance mixes, and my personal favorites are the extremely fast-paced Moto Blanco Mix, and the dub-style Filthy Dukes Mix. Hopefully Amazon will eventually rectify the tracklisting on this page and add the cover photo, but meanwhile I hope this is helpful, because it definitely is worth checking out.

1. Paparazzi (Demolition Crew Remix) 3:55
2. Paparazzi (Moto Blanco Remix) 4:11
3. Paparazzi (Stuart Price Remix) 3:19
4. Paparazzi (Filthy Dukes Remix) 5:26
5. Paparazzi (James Carameta Tabloid Remix) 4:51
6. Paparazzi (Album Version) 3:31
7. Paparazzi (Instrumental) 3:31

Telephone
product was as advertised but i found that this particular number had some remixes that were not as entertaining as others.

He-He-Hello
From the moment it played from "The Fame: Monster"; I was hooked like a girl enjoying a curved boner. It is undeniable that Lady Gaga is a force one cannot avoid or help becoming addicted to. As an extension of the original comes the mixes you will likely here when on a night out at the discotheque. The remixes on this disc add a new spin on an already fantastic tune. Standouts for ne are the Electrolightz Mix, Alphabeat Mix, and Passion Pit. While I am a person who hordes physical releases for the sake of saying I own it, when Lady G inevitably becomes the next Madonna; it may be best to download only the tracks you find the best. As these are full club mixes and not edits, they tend to run long and after so many listens, often leave you thinking "Alright, end already with the blips and the banging, and thumping; oi!". A definite "Must" though for collectors and die-hard fans though, who'll relish owning a physical CD when in 5 years such formats cease to exist.

Remix of Telephone by Lady Gaga
I love to listen to Lady Gaga and have purchased several of her remix hits. This one is no exception. It is excellent! I enjoy all the remixes and also enjoy hearing Beyonce. I'd recommend it!

I'm Not Taking No Calls Cause I'll Be Dancing
These are some of the best remixes I've heard! And catually it's cheaper to buy the CD then downloading it. But it's still one of the best remix albums on the market

lady gaga and beyonce the best
what can i say this song is the bomb and the remixes are so good i love them so muchand i think honey b and gaga are the best i would love to see them in a movie together. they are great and they work great together i like the whole concept and very very proud of them
