Cake Eye Liner Reviews

This is the best eyeliner I’ve ever used. I prefer cake eye liner for the control of application. I used to use Clinique but it’s no longer available.
I tried Bobbie Brown gel eye liner and found it goes on a little chunky because the consistency is too thick. I tried the Ben Nye brand because of the nice colors offered (I got Charcoal.) I like it even better than the old ones I used. It goes on with great control and, at the end of the day, it looks the same with no fading or smudging. It’s a great value. For years now, I have used Clinique cake eyeliner and have been totally pleased with it. Apparently, they no longer make that product and I have been desperately searching for a replacement. I discovered this one on Amazon, and I’m SO happy with it that I decided to write a review. This liner goes on beautifully (I use water to wet the brush); it stays were you put it and doesn’t “feather”; you are easily able to create a clean, crisp line. The consistency is substantial enough that you don’t have to keep “going over” the liner-line to get the look that you want. It stays on all day (no touch-ups needed), but removes cleanly/easily with eye-makeup remover. Since I can get the exact line that I want with just one stroke of the liner brush, I think I prefer this to Clinique (which frequently needed a couple of strokes to get the line defined “just right”. One note: it does not come with a liner brush … but if you are a fan of cake-liners, you probably have several already.I have looked in retail stores for cake eye liner ever since Maybelline discontinued theirs. I finally googled cake eye liner and found this product. It is great! I have a good eye liner brush. With a drop of water, the cake eyeliner becomes a wonderful thick liquid that can be applied precisely where I want it.
