I have to say for the price of this mp3 player it is awesome! It is exactly what I wanted: it is affordable, small enough to stick in my pocket, compatible on both my Mac and PC, plugs directly into the computer, just drag and drop your mp3 files and your good to go! You can arrange the songs in folders, although I haven’t figured out if it is possible to only play songs within a certain folder?!! I’ve only used the FM tuner once or twice as I typically only listen to my own music but it seemed to be ok. The only drawbacks are that I did have to replace the ear phones after about 3 months since one of the ear buds fell apart, it really could use some sort of clip to hook the player onto your belt loop/clothing and I wish the cap for the USB plug snapped off and on for safety instead of just sliding on and off so easily. The player mechanism itself works great. I have had it for 7 months. I also bought a transmitter for my car so I can plug the mp3 player into it and the songs play very well thru the radio. I have even dropped this mp3 player a few times and it still works great! I recommend giving this mp3 player a try…as I said for the $$ you really can’t beat it!
The sound quality is good–excellent if you give extra points for the low price. It was easy and reasonably quick to load MP3 files from my PC to the Coby MP305 once I figured out how to get into the correct USB mode. I am also impressed that this unit includes an excellent FM radio–my $300 iPod doesn’t have a radio
I like everything about this device higher except for the confusing and limiting user interface. You can set up separate folders for each album or artist, but navigating from one album to another or from one artist to another is quirky at best. If you are looking for an excellent value on a shuffle-mode MP3 player, look no further, but if you want to be able to select specific songs, this may not be the model for you.
