Our daughter is two months old and just had her first “play date”. Her little friend had this playmat, and she enjoyed it so much that we wanted to get her a play mat also. First, I wasted my money on the Fisher Price Precious Planet Playmat at Wal-Mart. Not very exciting, and the only sound it made was a monkey toy that is only activated when you spin it, and very difficult for even an adult to spin, let alone a baby. For $20 more, I went to amazon.com and bought this play mat. She absolutely loves the lights, music, and toys. On her first try, she found the little elephant rattle with her feet and kicks it the whole 20 minutes that the music and lights play. It makes her smile, and makes me smile watching her have so much fun. I definitely recommend this play mat-spend a little more for this high quality, fun toy!since the first day I got this my 3 month old son started to roll over on his stomach, I was so surprised he has never done it before. He loves all the toys and music. I have alot of fisher price rainforest toys and he loves them all. Our baby has been loving this play mat since day 1. We recently had a relative’s baby visiting and he was equally as pleased to play in the jungle. Assembly was kind of tricky but that is the only drawback. Also, the fact that it folds up for storage/travel is wonderful. We don’t go on trips without it.I got this activity mat when my son was 8 weeks old. He loves it. The music isn’t too loud nor the lights too bright. The animals/design of the mat is adorable too. He loves that monkey!! My son just turned 4 mos and he now grabs the toys to hear them rattle and he pushes off the big giraffe with his feet to reach things. The mirror is a big hit too. I recently discovered that Fisher Price has a great website that you can order replacement parts for cheap! The entire bag of toys that comes on this activity mat are $9 to replace. I love it! Overall, I definitely recommend this product. It is a little pricey and I had a hard time breaking down the top part to take with us on vacation but I think the good far outweighs the bad. The mat is extremely durable too.When I 1st got this for my daughter, she was only 1.5months old and the blinking lights were enough to keep her entranced. As she got older, she started reaching for the toys more and now, she’s fascinated enough by the toys that she flips from her back onto her belly and back onto her back to better play with the toys. She didn’t and still doesn’t bother to flip around unless she’s on this playmat - it’s just so much fun!
