Glenn Beck’s Common Sense: The Case Against an Out-of-Control Government, Inspired by Thomas Paine (Paperback) Reviews
This is a must read for all who hold the American ideals and dreams dear. It is the beginning of an excellent dialogue on what made America the best country. It’s simple, concise and is a great start to educating ourselves. We need to be ringing the bells and lighting the lanterns in the church tower. It IS about Right and wrong, not about parties. It is about the changes happening and what that means to freedom and is that what we really want. This cuts through the pretty words and promises our politicians and the elite PC use to the actions and outcomes – the truth – a call to action if we want to keep our republic.
If you’re as sick of the party line as I am, then this is a must read. People really need to wake up and realize we are at a turning point in this country and neither the Democrats or the Republicans are willing or capable of solving any of the problems we face today. It’s time to send the only message that politicians still listen to and that is your vote for an independent candidate. Stop sending career politicians to Washington and return our country to government by and for the people.
Beck gets it. He has written a book for our time as Thomas Payne did for his. Common sense is not common…. too many Democrats and Republicans alike don’t have any. Time to become an independent thinker and find your own common sense. This book will get you started.
This book wasn’t intended for those who have been paying attention to the political scene. It’s for those of us who have only started to in the last 4-10 years. I don’t think any of us are naive enough to trust any government including our own and neither does Beck. What he points out to us is what our complacency has gotten us.
This books outlines for us what we had and how we lost it and how we are continuing to lose it.
It was well-researched and documented, but not so academic that it was at all difficult to read.
