Wow, this dress has won me over – I could wear it anywhere! It could be worn out to a fancy dinner or to a casual brunch without skipping a beat. The bust line is almost formal in style, but the fabric is like a super soft, heavy t-shirt. Feels almost like nothing – like your most comfortable nightgown – but has plenty of coverage. The pattern, although technically tie-dye, I suppose, is more of an abstract variegated color wash, not like the bulls-eye pattern you tend to see – very forgiving if you were to get it wet or spill or sweat in it, I’d think. It’s a maxi-dress, yes, but the fabric below the empire waist isn’t too full like a lot of them – doesn’t pouf out and make you look hippy, just very flattering to the curves. Because of this, you may want to consider sizing up if you want the super-comfy maxi fit. I’m fairly thin, and don’t usually have to size up in this kind of dress, but it was just a little more comfortable in the larger size. However, if you want it to be form-fitting, slinky & sexy, go with your normal size. It’s also true to the the maxi style in that it is VERY long. I am over 6′ tall and can never find dresses that are long on me. This doesn’t quite reach my feet or the floor (that’s crazy talk!), but definitely my lower ankle, which is remarkable on me!
Overall, I’d say this is a super-comfy, of-the-moment style dress that can go just about anywhere.
The picture doesn’t do this dress the admiration & accolades it truly deserves. This dress is so much more attractive in person. It almost appears form fitting but really it’s not. It’ very comfortable & chic. Great for casual wear or paired w/stilettos to give it little needed sex appeal.
