As a 44 year old mother of 2, I was getting tired of clutching my wallet everywhere I went or having my backpack in tow. Thought it was about time I “grew up” and got a purse. So, not being much of a purse person, I found this purse that I loved. I was afraid that it might be too big but I took a chance on it. I love the purse. After reading other comments about this purse, there are two things that I have to agree with. 1) The center compartment kind of falls down so when you are digging, it is kind of hard to find things. 2) The buckle does not stay secure and every time you put it down, the buckle comes undone. I thought that was a great idea to use velcro and I will probably try that. Other than that, I think that it is kind of a cool purse.I loved this bag – it was perfect for work. But it has completely fallen apart over the past year. The zipper came off first – and now the entire bottom of the small middle compartment has ripped. I got about a year out of it – and plan on spending a little more next time to get a better quality/longer-lasting bag.This is an impressive “leather” like material. Looks and feels like leather although we all know from the description that it’s not. Gorgeous purse and great price. The only thing is, the brown which shows as a dark brown on the pictures from amazon, comes out more like the red bag picture (so a lighter brown with a touch of red tint). I will still keep it though because it’s just that pretty.I received this bag in red as a Christmas gift. It looked great, and I couldn’t wait to try it out! I put my stuff in it, and it was all very neat and organized…plenty of pockets and places for everything inside. Then, I tried to zip the top zipper to close it. The zipper pull came off in my hand. It was not even hooked with a metal hook into the zipper, it appears that the zipper pull was simply glued onto the zipper itself. I was so disappointed. I almost kept the bag and had the zipper replaced, but such poor construction shouldn’t be ignored. I sent the bag back, and of course, the red one is now out of stock.I really fell in love with this purse when I saw it and added it to my Christmas wish list. I was so excited when I actually received it! I had received the black one. When I pulled it from the material bag it was package in, I immediately was shocked at the feel of the leather. It was rubbery with a sticky kind of feel. I am a tactile person and was immediately turned off. I love the purse, the quality was fabulous and it looks really nice. Over the next four days I tried convincing myself that the feel was not that bad, I kept touching it, trying it on my shoulder……..I came really close to filling it with all of my purse belongings. I just couldn’t, I can’t get past the fake “leather” feel. I have felt fake leather before and have never felt this. Regrettably I have to return it…..I’m bummed.This purse was bought as a gift for a friend of mine. She is absolutely in love with it. The leather is really soft and smooth and the bag is fairly good sized. She uses it everyday and it has stood up to the everyday wear and tear…it still looks brand new!
