Madagascar 2: Escape 2 Africa Reviews
I loved the Madagascar movies so I really wanted this game. The mini clips in the game are pretty hilarious but the game itself could use some work here and there. The thing I really don’t like about it is that you can’t save the game until you’ve reached the checkpoint. It’s really aggravating if you can get past one part of the level but not the next part, so every time you “die” you have to start over ALL THE WAY BACK from where your last checkpoint was, which could be far. I’d much rather save the game where I want to. Some levels are a bit challenging but the fact you don’t lose lives in this game would be one of the better things for younger kids. It has mini games also. The Penguins mini games are more strategy type and the Mort pinball is just for fun. I haven’t beaten the game yet, and even though it sounds like I’m giving it a bad review, I’m going to continue to play it.
Now I might be a 23 year-old college student, but I love the Madagascar characters. I bought this game to play on my DS, but it can be quite difficult. I enjoy the challenge, but I cannot get past level 5 and I am quite annoyed with it. There is just no move to perform to get past a certain point in the level and I am fed up. I’ve even searched for cheats on the internet, but no luck. So it’s fun for a while, and will definitely entertain your kids, but don’t be surprised when they aren’t happy about not being able to get past level 5…and if they can, let me know how! ![]()
I usually never buy franchise games but my kid absolutely loves this cartoon so I decided to try this one and was very disappointed. First: the controls are counterintuitive, second: it’s very difficult for kids to get past even the first level, which causes them to lose interest. Third: gameplay is extremely poorly thought out and is simply boring. My kids hate it, I tried playing but could not force myself to continue playing after 5 minutes.
