Ok I am writing this review for larger sized girls cause I know how hard it can be to find a formal dress that doesn’t make you feel like a stuffed sausage let alone beautiful. Okay I am a size 18/20 I have 42DD’s and I am about 5’6″. I bought a 3X just to be safe and if was too big I was going to have it altered. But it fit perfect. It is great fabric, doesnt wrinkle, flows beautifully.It made my waist look smaller because of the cut of the dress. And if you have a tummy you can’t even tell in this dress!!! If you have larger breasts you will need a halter bra it doesnt not hold them up (warning!). It is not too low cut, a little cleavage shows but nothing too bad.If you are any shorter than 5’6″ it will most likely need to be hemmed. The back is not too low so your bra is hidden. The only problem, as some have stated before, that the sides of the halter where it would lay across the side of your boobs is loose and kinda puckers. This can easily be fixed with a quick alteration and the bigger your boobs the less of a problem it is. You are WAY getting your money’s worth on this one.This dress is beautiful and flows wonderfully. I would advise anyone who will be around babies or children to beware. I had my neice and daughter with me and my dress got progressively worse. Water marks, drool marks, wet fingers grabbing my skirt. By the end of the night, the dress was a wreck. Save this one for adult only parties! The fit was wonderful and it comes with a scarf to save your shoulders being bare.When I first ordered this dress, it came with an ink mark on the front of it. I contacted the company, and they sent me a replacement the very next day. The company was FANTASTIC to work with.
I am very curvy and have a hard time finding things big enough on the top and small enough on the bottom. I ordered a size larger than normal to make sure there was enough fabric in the bust. The bust actually needed to be taken in some, and was tailored and fit perfectly! The skirt of the dress was extremely long. I thought about hemming it up, but the dress looked very elegant at floor length, so I left it. This was an amazing dress. I felt great, looked great, and got tons of compliments on it!
The color was also very rich and shiny, just like the picture. I bought this dress because there were so many reviews saying it was great for women who have larger busts. I would like to suggest that for this dress, “larger bust” means D/DD and not cup sizes larger than that.
While I looked ok in the dress from the front, it really needed more fabric on the sides of the bust (under the arms) in order not to fall out of the sides.
That said, it really was a lovely dress, and I was sad that I had to return it. The fabric was smooth and soft, and had a nice satiny shine. Returning this dress was simple, there were clear directions of the back of the shipping document. I thought communications from the seeller were excellent, I received emails to show that they 1) shipped the dress 2) received the return, and 3) that my refund had been processed. Great seller, with nice merchandise for some of us plus ladies who don’t want to look like everyone else.
