Exactly what I was hoping it would be

This little exerciser fits right under my desk, and when it's on its mat, it does not move around on the floor (wood) at all. The noise level is pretty quiet--just a low-level ssssss, but I work at home, so I'm not sure how it would play in a cubicle setting. It was easy to assemble.

I, too, found that the tension setting doesn't make much of a difference, although it got a little tighter with more turns that I would have thought necessary. But sitting here pedaling away for a half hour felt like it lasted about a minute as I surfed and worked and allegedly--according to the calorie counter--burned about 250 calories. I did break a sweat in my air-conditioned livingroom. I expect to find myself pedaling off and on all day without even thinking about it, and I don't have to leave my work and carve out a half hour or an hour to get in a bit of daily exercise. That leaves me all the more time for my kids and family time when everyone gets home from school and work.

The pedals can be a tad slippery, but I pedal barefooted and maintain traction that way. Your desk, of course, needs to have clearance for your knees, although it is possible to turn a little sideways and pedal just off to the side of your desk while still being online or doing other work. Also, you can pedal with your hands to get a bit of an aerobic and upper-body workout in. That precludes surfing or typing, so get something good to read in front of you!

Overall, exactly what I wanted and what I hoped it would be, tension notwithstanding.
Great bike for the price

Like this little bike a lot. It's sturdy and lightweight. Able to fit under a desk. Does not move around when riding on it. The tension knob does not really increase the tension to much but, its enough to impact your workout.
SMALL BUT POWERFUL

The Sunny Health & Fitness Mini Cycle is even better quality then what I expected for the price! It is VERY sturdy and does not slide on the floor or table. For ëmpty nesters" who are trying to downsize but still want some sort of exercise equipment for those rainy or inclement days--this is great. It stores in a closet very easily. I am handicapped and I am able to sit in a comfortable position, infront of the TV and exercise my leg muscles, yet pick this up and put it on a table for upper body strengthening. TERRIFIC BUY!
good for small spaces

I am a Physical Therapist and got this for a former patient to use at home. She loves it and is keeping in shape.
Love it!

I am an active person with a desk job and I got this little device so I could be a little less sedentary while at work all day. My biggest fear would be that I wouldn't be able to pedal under the desk but it seems to fit quite nicely, although I am short (5'3). Yes there does seem to be a slight hissing when you turn up the tension but this does not bother me since I'm using it really for movement rather than exercise.

I think the calorie read out is complete crap, I'd have to be sprinting to burn as many calories as they are saying I'm burning sitting behind a desk but the rotation and time are helpful.

This is a great value for the money (especially with the free shipping), very sturdy, very practical. I plan on purchasing another to leave at home in front of the television and possibly another for my mom!
