Tech 4 O Accelerator Men’s Fitness Watch Reviews
Form follows function…at last! This Tech4-O watch has performed flawlessly since I got it. I especially like the fact that the many modes are easy to navigate and program. Major modes such as Home Time, Pedometer, and Timer are not ‘buried’ under other functions. They are easily accessible with the touch of a single button. Secondary functions (within each main mode) are also easy to find. When I recieved the watch, I spent about a half hour one evening and had enough understanding of it to program all my settings. And after just a couple days of use, the use of the sub-functions became second nature. The buttons are easy to find and press although heavy shirt cuffs or gloves sometimes push a button when I don’t intend. However, this doesn’t change my settings and it is preferable to having buttons that are too small for me to manipulate so I still give it my 5 star rating!
I am currently making good use of the pedometer and alarm modes. Daily walks with my dog, hiking and a lot walking at work really add up (over 30,000 steps on a some days!) The alarms (up to five) are great for appointment and meeting reminders and are easy to change when my schedule flexes.
I haven’t put this watch through the rigors of canoeing or kayaking but the stainless case and rubber strap lead me to think that the watch will do just fine. I may be posting another review once the season arrives.
Lastly…this display is easy to read. No clutter of icons like other electronic watches I have tried and a nice, bright electro-luminescent backlight. In fact, I have already used it to fiddle with my car keys in the dark…I don’t think T4-O had this in mind…then again, maybe they DID!?
I highly recommend this watch. In fact, it’s beeping at me right now…gotta go!
I bought this watch b/c my husband loves to run and wanted a way to track his distance when taking new routes. Unfortunately, within 3 weeks of receiving the watch the buttons on the sides stopped working. Basically, the only feature that still worked was telling time. Assuming we just got a flawed product, we asked Amazon to send a replacement. Well, we’ve had the new watch for about a week and the wrist band is already starting to come off. It is just cheaply made!
This is a reasonable product. However, I find that if you put the watch in the Pedometer mode, you will not be able to switch it to the chronometer mode. This I think is important for people who run to time and wants to know how much they have covered in that duration.
