Traveling Toddler Car Seat Travel Accessory Reviews

This is the best product ever! Amazing, back saving, little strap that makes taveling easy. It takes three little snaps and saves time, money, and energy. Until we found the Traveling Toddler Car Seat Travel Accessory, we were looking at products that cost up to $200 or involved using scews that we’d have to undo every time we got on the plane or went through security. We also looked at ways to strap the carseat to our back and lug it through the airport. We also considered just checking the carseat, but that would mean paying checked bag fees and losing the security of having our son in his car seat on the plane. We were not happy with those options and were dreading our summer travels.

We were leary of the simplicity of the TTCSTA and its low price. We also thought our car seat looked way too big to be put on a carry-on bag, but we decided it was worth the $15 to try. When we got the stap we pulled out the suitcase right away and tried it out. We almost cried we were so happy. Our son loved it and wanted to ride it all around the house.

There are some minor issues in that it get a tad bit heavy, but not as much as you would think for adding a carseat and a toddler. You also have to tip it back a little bit which might mean taller people have to bend over more if your suitcase handle is short, but I’m 5’2,” so it’s not a problem for me.

With that said, it is so very rare that the easiest and most efficient solution is also the cheapest, but in this case it is. I have a feeling that your impression of this product factors on 3 things.

1. What type of carseat you have. 2. What type of suitcase you use 3. Whether you’ve practiced a couple of times before going to the airport.

I have a Britax Marathon and a Costco Kirkland small rolling suitcase. With this combination, even full, both the carseat and the suitcase stay rock-solid and upright on a flat level surface.

As such, all I have to do is pre-set the latch connectors and the tether to the right lengths the first time. After that, it is a click-click with the latch releases and it stays connected to the tether. To reconnect is another click-click. No readjusting necessary.

This makes getting through security a breeze, my son stays in the seat until the last possible moment, then quickly through the detector and right back into the seat. no fuss.

It is a tight fit down the aisle of the plane, but the seat on the suitcase fits.

I’d give it six stars if I could.

The only thing I would have to say is that this thing must have the highest profit margin ever. It is an upside down “T” made of nylon webbing with D-rings on each end. You could make it with rope and or chain from a home depot in 10 seconds. You could probably even use a single, large (4-5″ diameter) “O” ring and do the same thing.
