Ultimate Body Press Dip Stand Reviews
I purchased this product based on the reviews I looked at, particularly Frankie B.’s contribution. Once I had it out of the box and took the plastic sleeves off each piece, it took me literally two minutes to assemble and that was taking it easy. There was a one page instruction leaflet, but all you needed to read was “color-coded”.
I’m 6’2″ and weigh 195lbs. There was no wobbling or even minor shaking for me doing the several sets of dips I performed on the stand. And the clearance was more than sufficient; I didn’t have to angle my body to avoid hitting my knees on the floor.
It may not be apparent from the images, but the handles do have a tapering angle from front to back. This allows you to isolate the triceps or the chest more, depending how which “end” you have facing forward and if your elbows are close to your body or facing outward.
Disassembling the stand took less time than it did to put it together from scratch. There’s an additional hole in the handle sections that allows you to reorient the other connected pieces for flat storage. Or you could simply fully take it apart and stow them away wherever there’s room. I had no trouble with the pins or with tension with any of the pieces.
All in all, I’m very satisfied with my purchase since dips tend to be one of my favorite exercises. And this stand allows for other exercises as demonstrated by the images and a customer video review. Well worth the money.
After seeing the reviews I decided to order this product, especially the video review. I have been trying to create some kind of dipping contraption for my power rack in the basement, but didn’t want to keep moving things around when I wanted to do squats. This fits perfectly in the bedroom and doubles as a clothes hanger.
I ordered it on a Thursday morning and received it that same afternoon, even though Amazon said it would take at least three days! Opening the package took more time than putting it together. Don’t even bother reading the instructions, as other reviewers said, it’s color coded. There are little colored dots near where the pins and holes are. You just match up the pin with the red dot with the hole with the red dot and presto. Repeat with all other colors and your done. It seemed a little flimsy when it was upside down, but after turning it and putting a little weight on it, it stabilizes. The machine is not as solid as if it was one piece welded together, but I could see it holding a 300 pound man. It has these 4 little octagonal collars on the base that rotate to compensate for any floor irregularities.
The only improvement that I would recommend is to install thicker padding on the handles. The fact that I have carpal tunnel and tendinitis doesn’t even qualify this as a criticism because I’m sure most people with healthy hands and wrists would not have a problem. I can pad them up with an old sock and some duct tape.
One reviewer said he was disappointed with the shipping charges. The charges for me was 18.99. It sounds like a standard charge and I thought that this was reasonable since it arrived so fast via FedEx and also due to the weight of the product.
