Vulli Sophie the Giraffe Teether, Brown/ White Reviews
Aden loves his Sophie teether. I ordered it for him after being told about it while dining out one evening. Our server noticed that he was teething and recommended that we get one for him. She said her 9 month old absolutely loved it. Aden loves to drool and chew on it. He also loves the squeak noise it makes. I’ve researched the rubber that it’s made from & it’s supposed to be absolutely safe, along with the coloring. I ordered it when he was 4 months old & it’s been his favorite ever since. It’s very soft and flexible. It’s also easy for tiny hands to hold, as it has a long neck and skinny (but short-to prevent choking) legs. I recommend covering the squeak hole with your finger if you wash it with soap and water. I think that if you immerse it in water, it will stop squeaking. Awesome teether! And very safe! There is something so simple and sweet about Vulli Sophie, and the fact that she is totally non-toxic and safe makes her the perfect teether for precious babies. I bought her for my nephew’s first birthday, and my only concern was whether I was spending so much for a toy he may not love. Fat chance. I doubt that any baby could resist, especially with those pesky teeth pushing through! My sister attached a binkie-strap to Vulli Sophie’s leg, and she goes everywhere with them! I am really pleased with the purchase! We purchased this for our 4 month old son and he loves it. He is now 5 months and he uses it every day. The material is soft, easy to grasp and non toxic. I just hope we don’t lose it.In all, I believe that Sophie is a good purchase despite the $20 price tag. With MY son, we bought this toy when he was about 3 months old & he could care less about it. It wasn’t till about 5 1/2 months of age that he was interested in it and that was because he had finally mastered his grasping technique and he was able to hold it easily. Now, he’s 6 months old and when we put it in front of him and squeak it, he starts jumping around and just drops the other toy he had in his hand and sticks it right in his mouth. So, when your baby can easily grasp things, that’s when I would get this toy. As for “the most helpful critical review”, that person is right. This toy is really a dog’s chew toy. It has the same texture and the same squeak & you probably can go to a pet store and buy a dog toy for alot cheaper, however, this toy is non-toxic & bpa-free & I don’t know if they make dog toys with those features. What matters is my son is loving it now.
