I ordered two of these Aloha shirts. I returned them. I live in Hawaii. I’ve been here for over 40 years. I know Aloha shirts, and in fact I used to be in the clothing manufacturing business. These shirts may look good with the colorful looking pictures, but beware! These shirts are very poor quality construction, with “paper” type collars, and very poor stitching; and they have thin, poor quality fabrics. Overall they aren’t worth what they’re selling for at all! I’ve purchased an excellent Aloha shirt recently at Macy’s for the same price, and worlds of difference! Again, beware, these are very poor quality!
For these shirts in Large (I bought four different ones), the measurement around the chest is about 5-6″ smaller than a typical Large shirt, even though the shoulder width is typical. I recommend getting a shirt at least one size larger than normal if you want to be able to move easily.
I have no idea what the person called boogiesurfer expects from a Hawaiin shirt, but I think his opinion was very biased. I have only visited Hawaii, but for the price, I think these are very good shirt. If he got one at a better price for higher quality at Macy’s, I expect he got it in the Bargain Bin, and it was probably a Small size.
These shirts are much more comfortable than the polyester ones I used to get at Hilo Hatties, and are about half the price, even with cocoanut shell buttons. I like my shirts and have bought four of them.
